What to include, so the first reply is useful

None of this is required, and any one of them saves a round trip:

  • The plant and the location. Response times and mobilisation differ substantially between a Bintulu site and a peninsula one, and we would rather tell you the real number at the start.
  • The asset or the system. Make and model if you have it. A photo of the nameplate or the panel label is worth several emails.
  • What is actually happening. Including what has already been tried, and what happened when it was.
  • The constraint. A shutdown window, a vessel schedule, a crop season, an audit date, a budget cycle. The constraint usually decides the approach more than the technical content does.
  • Whether this is urgent. A breakdown and a budget enquiry get handled very differently, and it helps to know which one you are sending.

What happens next

  1. A reply from an engineer, usually within a working day.
  2. A short conversation about the constraint rather than a product pitch. Frequently this is where it becomes clear that the job is smaller, or different, than it first appeared.
  3. A survey, where the work warrants one. For Sarawak sites this is a visit.
  4. A written scope and proposal, with assumptions stated at the point they apply, specific enough that you can compare it properly against anyone else's.

If it turns out you do not need the work, that is a fine outcome and we will tell you.

Questions we get asked

Do you charge for a site survey?

For a Sarawak site, an initial look is usually part of the conversation. A full engineering survey producing a documented deliverable is scoped and quoted, and we will tell you which one is being proposed before anyone travels.

Can you attend a breakdown out of hours?

Yes, under an arrangement set up in advance with a named contact and an agreed escalation. Calling an unfamiliar supplier at midnight rarely ends well for either side.

Do you work outside Sarawak?

Yes, across Malaysia, with the head office in Kuala Lumpur. Outside Sarawak, attendance is planned rather than same-day, and we quote it honestly.

We need vendor registration documents. Who do we ask?

Email us and say which client and which form. Registration documents, statutory particulars, insurance and safety documentation are ready to send.

Prefer to start with a survey?

For a Sarawak site we will come and look before quoting. It costs a morning and it is the difference between a price that holds and a price that changes.
